Course Details

Quick intro to the gear and general info then trying to make some moves on the gear directly on the water and get the initial feeling of sailing, instructor to be side by side to the student to be his mentor in all moves.

1 HOUR

In this level, the windsurfer will have a full intro for the fundamentals of the game, basics for sailing and dealing with the gear, usually in light wind zones and under full supervision. End of course should be able to enter and exit the water with self-riding and basic maneuverings with the gear

5 HOURS

In addition to level A, Level B will include the same steps with extensive details and information, and adding on top more technicalities such as Up winding, down winding, sailing in reach direction with higher speed and larger sail, learning how de-rig sail

10 HOURS

Where the windsurfer will start to understand more about self-sailing and more control of the gear, ability to sail wherever he wants, windsurfer starts to sail in more than a condition especially open water and stronger winds, learning high speed maneuvers, harnessing, planning, gear fine tuning, emergency procedures, etc…

Discovery level

Quick intro to the gear and general info then trying to make some moves on the gear directly on the water and get the initial feeling of sailing, instructor to be side by side to the student to be his mentor in all moves.

Entry Level A: [5 Hours]

In this level, the windsurfer will have a full intro for the fundamentals of the game, basics for sailing and dealing with the gear, preferred to be in the light wind zones and under full supervision. End of curse should be able to enter and exit the water with self-riding and maneuvering with the gear, Contents are as follows:
Intro to windsurfing: History of the game, Classes, hot spots, target, wind physics
Wind theory and directions: Reason behind wind existence, main sailing directions, how does the gear move
Gear info: Rig components and accessories explanation, board as well, safety instructions, gear handling ,
Simulator: Starting the moves on a ground simulator, making each player try it himself
Pulling up: pull up techniques and understanding wind direction in the water
Zero line: ability to stand still and understand the zero line concept
Maneuvering port and starboard: slightly moving the sail left and right from the zero line to maneuver port or starboard and starting to move the gear

Entry Level A: [10 Hours]

In addition to level A, Level B will include the same steps with extensive details and information, and adding on top more technicalities like:
Upwind and downwind: Understanding how to direct the boat upwind and downwind and keep the direction
Reach: Staring to close the gap and adjust the board angle, baring and over sheeting
Speeding: Taking advantage of wind gusts and start speeding with the gear and feeling the ,
Rigging and de rigging: being able to rig and de-rig the gear by each windsurfer on his own

PRO Level

Where the sailor will start to understand more about self-sailing and more control of the gear, ability to sail wherever he wants. Sailor starts to sail in more than a condition especially open waters and stronger winds
Tacking [Light wind]: Performing the normal tack techniques according to the known sequence
Gibing [Light wind]: Performing the normal Gibe techniques according to the known sequence
Beach start: How to do the simple known beach start and handle the sail in most wind conditions
Professional Rigging: Knowing how to fine tune the gear due to different wind conditions
Pumping: Theory and techniques, when to pump and when to hook
Harness: How to hook and unhook in different conditions, adjusting the lines
Planning: Starting to use the foot straps along with the harness hooked
Tacking [Strong wind]: performing tack quickly in high winds using the board maneuver and known sequence
Gibing [Strong wind]: Performing Gibe quickly in high winds using the board maneuver and known sequence
Water starting: Doing the water start in high wind I shallow water the going deeper gradually
Coursing: Course racing and course types, oral and practical
